Rose Island is a incredible backdrop for events including small weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties. Our maximum capacity during bird nesting season (March 1 - August 15) is 60 ppl. PRIVATE TOURS

Most visitors coming for a daily tour arrive on the Jamestown-Newport Ferry in season. But we also do take request for private island and lighthouse tours for up to 16 people aboard our launch boat Rose. All tours begin with a pickup from Fort Adams (or other Newport locations by request) and usually last 1.5 hours. Guests are invited to bring a picnic and BYOB on board. We provide the cooler.   • Rose Island is a incredible backdrop for events including small weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties. Our maximum capacity during bird nesting season (March 1 - August 15) is 60 ppl. After August 15, we can host events with a maximum of 125 ppl.

    Evening events of more than 60 ppl include the use of overnight rooms and typically must be booked at least a year in advance.

  • Rose Island is typically used for outdoor events, either on top of the hill by the lighthouse, or down the hill in the field. Small groups can also choose to use interior spaces for intimate events, meetings, private dinner, etc.

    Interior spaces include the lighthouse second floor Keeper’s Apartment (max 15 ppl), or a room in the historic Fort Hamilton Barracks (max 30 ppl)

  • We do not have a preferred vendors list, but our staff can recommend vendors with experience on Rose Island. We require vendors to come to the island well ahead of your event so they can understand the unique quirks of throwing memorable events on our historic property.

  • Event pricing depends on the time of day for your event, the size, etc. For small intimate evening events of 15 ppl or under it is typically under $1,000. For larger events it can run between $1,500 to $6,500.

    *Special pricing is available for day-time only events — corporate meetings, birthday parties, etc.

    For larger events over 60 ppl we require the booking of overnight accommodations, which is included in the price. There are 6 bedrooms total across our historic lighthouse and property.
