COVID-19 Statement Update 1-20-21

The Rose Island Lighthouse is preparing to open for the spring-summer season on April 1, 2021 for overnight keeper stays in the lighthouse.  Given the uncertainty of local and state restrictions and vaccination status at that time, we may be required to delay or modify our schedule as needed to comply and will post these updates here as necessary.    Daily ferry transportation to Rose Island, via the Jamestown Newport Ferry service, will resume at the end of May, 2021.  We recommend you contact them at 401-423-9900 for further information.   All mandated Covid protocols, including the wearing of a face covering and safe social distancing, are required of all visitors on the island.  Overnight visitors should also be prepared to provide proof of a negetive Covid test taken within 72 hour of their scheduled overnight stay.

We will update information here as necessary when it becomes available.    If you are a guest affected by this notice or have any questions related to your stay, we request that you contact our office by email at:  reservations@roseisland.org or by calling 401-847-4242 for additional information.

Our Mission
