Rose Island is about 18 acres in size and situated off Newport, Rhode Island, in Narragansett Bay. Sitting just south of the Claiborne Pell/Newport Bridge, it consists of a historic lighthouse, the Fort Hamilton Barracks, and a wildlife refuge.
Managed by the Rose Island Lighthouse & Fort Hamilton Trust, a 501c3 non-profit since 1984.
OUR MISSION is to preserve the historical and environmental integrity of ROSE island and MAIntain its lighthouse for public access & Education.
