COVID-19 Statement Update for Rose Island Lighthouse – 5/5/2020

We sincerely regret the inconvenience and turmoil caused by the recent COVID-19 pandemic to our overnight guests who were planning to visit Rose Island during 2020.  The COVID-19 pandemic crisis has devastated our overnight stay business and we regret to advise our guests that we have taken the following temporary measures in order to help Rose Island survive the crisis.

When the COVID-19 Pandemic caused the mandatory shutdown of overnight stays on Rose Island in late March, we offered our overnight guests two options: to reschedule the stay or to request a refund.  For the remainder of the 2020 season it is unlikely that we will be opening for overnight stays due to constraints related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overnight Guests with reservations existing between May 16, 2020 through October 31, 2020 will receive full credit towards rescheduling their visit to Rose Island at no extra charge, for up to two years, including the 2021 and 2022 Rose Island open season.   Full Refunds are no longer available at this time.

We will periodically re-evaluate and update our cancellation policy as the pandemic evolves and will post updates to our website (www.roseisland.org) as the situation develops further.  If you are a guest affected by this policy, we request you contact our office at reservations@roseisland.org or by calling 401-847-4242 for additional information.

Our Mission

The mission of the Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation is to preserve the historic and environmental integrity of the island and to maintain and operate its lighthouse for public access.
